Technical Product Manager

Helia | Reports to: Director of Product

Location: Hybrid, Phoenix, AZ

About Helia

Helia is solving one of healthcare’s most persistent and costly problems: the bill-only process for surgical implants. Today, this process is manual, fragmented, and error-prone, leading to delays, lost revenue, and frustration for hospitals and suppliers alike.

We’ve built the industry’s first end-to-end solution connecting providers, suppliers, and distributors, turning paper-heavy workflows into secure, real-time transactions.

And we’re just getting started. We’re expanding Helia with AI-powered capabilities, deeper system integrations, and smarter automation, with the goal of taking surgical transactions from case to invoice in as little as 60 seconds. Join us to help build the intelligent, connected infrastructure that makes healthcare transactions faster, simpler, and more accurate.

The Role

We’re looking for a curious, technically minded Product Manager who thrives on solving complex problems and turning them into intuitive, scalable product experiences. You’ll help shape how Helia connects healthcare organizations, simplifies surgical workflows, and brings intelligent automation into everyday operations.

You’ll own product initiatives end to end, from understanding customer needs and defining requirements to prioritizing the backlog, partnering with Engineering on delivery, and measuring impact after launch.

You’ll also work directly with health systems and medical device suppliers to lead integration discovery, translate complex workflows into scalable product solutions, and help identify opportunities to apply AI and automation across our product.

You’ll work closely with our Director of Product on strategy and priorities while having the autonomy to drive initiatives and outcomes across your product areas.

What You’ll Do

Product Discovery and Delivery

  • Own product initiatives from discovery through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Lead customer research and collaborate with UX to translate insights into intuitive workflows and product requirements.
  • Partner with Customer Experience, Sales, and Operations to identify opportunities and contribute to roadmap prioritization.
  • Own the product backlog, writing clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria while partnering with Engineering on scope and technical tradeoffs.
  • Drive product validation, UAT, launches, and post-launch improvements.

Technical Integrations

  • Lead integration discovery with health systems, suppliers, and partners, including EMR/EHR, ERP, and supplier systems.
  • Map workflows, data flows, and system dependencies, translating technical requirements into actionable specifications for Engineering.
  • Partner with Engineering to evaluate integration approaches, API capabilities, and scalable solutions that extend beyond individual customers.
  • Coordinate integration testing, validation, and launch readiness with customers and internal teams.

AI and Data

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve workflows, exception management, and decision-making.
  • Partner with Engineering to prototype, validate, and launch practical AI-powered features.
  • Define success metrics and use product and operational data to measure impact, identify friction, and inform product decisions.
  • Use AI tools to work more efficiently in day-to-day product work.

What You Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of product management experience in a SaaS environment, with end-to-end ownership of technically complex features.
  • Strong product discovery, backlog management, and requirements-writing skills, with a track record of shipping customer-facing solutions.
  • Experience working directly with customers on technical discovery, integrations, or implementation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and system integrations, with the ability to understand technical documentation and data flows.
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering on technical tradeoffs and navigate ambiguity while independently driving initiatives forward.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, solve problems, or support product development workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or launching AI/ML-powered product features, including LLM-based capabilities.
  • Experience with Epic or other EMR/EHR integrations, or ERP systems such as SAP, Infor/Lawson, or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with healthcare supply chain, procurement, or surgical workflows.
  • Familiarity with healthcare privacy, security, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and SOC 2.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $110,000–$130,000, based on experience.
